The Brashy Room

Negative Space opens The Brashy Room, a permanent archival gallery housing photographs, garments and print matter from Brashy Studios (2011–2020).

Co-founded by Jacob Hägg and Axel Hägg in 2011, the women’s streetwear label operated between Stockholm, New York and Los Angeles for nine years before the founding of Intelligence Matters.

Operating under the tag Born On Internet, Brashy Studios combined garment construction, graphic design and in-house casting before algorithmic feeds standardised independent fashion publishing.

Collections were stocked by Colette in Paris, KITH in New York and I.T in Hong Kong, and profiled by T Magazine, Vogue and i-D.

In October 2017, Brashy Studios was cited in The Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition catalogue ‘Items: Is Fashion Modern?’ (MoMA, New York, p. 256).
